This week, we have a quick story from Katherine Taylor about the TWLS field trip to Stages Theatre before the kids go off on Spring Break!
Last Thursday, my class went to Stages Theatre to see the play “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing”. Keep an eye out for a future post on TWLS’s partnership with Stages Theatre Company.
The story of “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing” is about a 4th grade boy, Peter, trying to deal with his 3 yr old brother - who is quite the handful! Peter is working on a project for his class that involves writing an essay over several months about his family. The play shows the many humorous episodes that his family goes through and how they deal with them.
First of all, the younger brother, nicknamed “Fudge” loses two teeth in the park. This leads to a hilarious trip to the dentist where he ends up running around the dentist’s chair with the dentist chasing him and trying to check his teeth! Second, Peter has a birthday party where one kid threw up, and another child tried to bit the other kids. Lastly, Fudge actually swallows Peter’s prized pet turtle. In the end, the family buys Peter a dog to replace the turtle, and he ends up feeling special and not overlooked despite his little brother’s antics.
A couple pictures from the end of the show:

Good site! I really love how it is simple on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I could be notified whenever a new post has been made. I’ve subscribed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a great day!
