You Make Our Dreams Come True!

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

Last Tuesday, 360 of you took time out of their busy Tuesdays to spend time with our wonderful community at The Whole Learning School. We’d like to thank all of you.Thank you to our wonderful table hosts and their tireless dedication to sharing their experiences and their passion with their friends so that our luncheon could be a bigger event than ever.

Thank you to our volunteers, especially our luncheon speakers Doug Neal, Rick and Kate Hartfiel, and Susie Fry, for sharing their stories with our community so publicly.

Thank you to our students, who are a joy to work with every day.

And thank you. If you gave, thank you for your support. If you had advice for us, thank you for your suggestions. And even if you did not or could not do either, thank you for being a part of our community. One of the things that makes TWLS such a great place for our students is the supportive community of friends, family, and caring others with whom they are surrounded andwho give them a place in the world where they are valued. Without your contributions of all sorts, we wouldn’t be able to keep giving our students the education they deserve to help them become fully-fledged members of society, able to share their gifts with the world.

Here’s what you’ve done for our students. Our contributions over the next five years from the luncheon total $247,000, a stunning $89,500 more than our goal. This will enable us to plan and budget effectively for the future so that we will know what services we can afford to supply our students every year. It also shows your dedication to helping us in the long run - not just when we ask this year, but as a part of our ongoing community engagement.

For 2010, we have $71,000 pledged so far, with just $4,000 left to go to reach our goal of $75,000. We’re almost where we need to be; if you have not yet made a contribution, please consider doing so now.

We and our students thank you for your support.
