Tuition & Aid

Providing a specialized education program with a 9:1 student-to-teacher ratio is a very effective, but expensive educational model. Tuition, fees, and fundraising events and grants are the resources available to fund the effort.

We are proud that TWLS’s tuition has increased only 8 percent over the past five years, an average of just 1.6 percent per year. Tuition for the 2011-2012 school year will be $17,500 plus a technology fee/field trip fee of $500.  Tuition may be paid annually, quarterly, or on a flexible monthly schedule.

Financial Aid

Financial aid in the form of grants is available. Grants range from $1,000 up to $9,000. Applicants seeking financial aid must fill out the forms for TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services). TADS provides independent financial need evaluations that help TWLS offer a successful needs-based tuition aid program.

Rebates and Tax Benefits

State legislation makes it possible for many parents of private school students to receive partial rebates on transportation costs. In addition, parents may also claim a deduction on their Minnesota State Income Tax return. Tax laws are subject to change. For up-to-date details, confer with your tax advisor.
