How to Apply

Admission to TWLS

The TWLS admissions process is designed so that the school, student applicant and parents can make an informed decision about whether TWLS is the right choice for the student. It is important that interested students and their parents have as much information as possible about TWLS.

We accept applications year round. Applications received before March 1 receive priority consideration for the following school year.

How to Apply

The admissions process begins when you contact TWLS for a personal admissions tour to see our facility, learn about how we individualize each child’s education program and to discuss the child’s specific learning challenges and needs.

To register for an Admissions Visit, please click here or call (763) 231-2700. During the tour, you will receive an admissions packet containing an application form and more details about the school.  You can also download the basic application forms and admissions checklist below, though please note that these forms do not include complete information on classes, tuition, and other information about the school.  Feel free to contact us for a free complete admissions packet.

To move forward with the process, please complete all forms and return them with a $75 fee.  After the application is received, applicants are contacted to schedule a day visit for the student.

Day Visits

Day visits let applicants become acquainted with the classroom and meet faculty members and students. Visits are scheduled Monday through Friday of each week that school is in session. Applicants may spend a full-day or arrange for a partial day, depending on the needs of the child.

Admissions Decisions

Admissions decisions are usually made within two weeks of the student’s day visit.  Acceptance is based on TWLS’s ability to meet each child’s needs. TWLS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation or national origin.
